Big Ten Tournament 2011 Predictions Update

(Media-Newswire.com) - The Big Ten Tournament for 2011 just got a jolt before the March Madness event with the stunning upset in the Iowa vs. Purdue game which saw the unranked Iowa squad beat the number six ranked Purdue team today.  The Big Ten Tournament for 2011 now has taken turn.

Purdue was led by JaJuan Johnson with 22 points in the game but it was the team's poor three point shooting that caused their fall as they only managed five of twenty five shooting from outside the circle.  The field shooting was a paltry 36.2% which enabled the Hawkeyes to win.

Iowa was led by Jarryd Cole who put in 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.  Bryce Cartwright along with Matt Gatens also added 13 points each for the win.

The win by Iowa puts their NCAA top seed possibility in jeopardy with the loss dropping them to 25-6 for the year.
