Manchester United vs. Barcelona Champion League 2011 final: Preview

IT IS now one day to go before the final of the UEFA Champions League 2011. On Saturday, May 28, the final game will be played between the Spanish team FC Barcelona and the English team Manchester United FC at Wembley Stadium in London. Barcelona and United are both seeking a fourth European Champion Cup.
Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United, famous as the Red Devils, won the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League against Schalke by 2-0 and 4-1 in the first and second leg. Whereas, Josep Guardiola's Barcelona won against arch rival Real Madrid by 2-0 in the first leg semi-final and in the second leg semi-final of the Champions League game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Manchester United and Barcelona, two of club football's greatest teams, had faced each other in the UEFA Champions League last time in 2009 in Rome, where Barcelona overpowered Red Devils by 2-0 and crowned the kings of Europe.
Manchester United, who won the European crown in 2008 over Chelsea with a penalty shoot-out victory, has not lost even a single game in the last ten occasions. The Red Devils have star footballers such as forwards Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and midfielders Anderson, who have scored maximum goals for their side in the current league.
Barcelona star footballer Lionel Messi has so far scored 11 goals in this season of the Champions League. He needs one more goal to equal the record of Ruud van Nistelrooy of 12 goals in a season of Champions League. Barcelona has many star footballers such as David Villa, Xavi Hernandez, Pedro Rodriguez. Barcelona's coach Pep Guardiola has lost just four of the 36 matches in the Champions League.
Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United is likely to play with the straight 4-4-1-1 formation, whereas Pep Guardiola's Barcelona will play with 4-3-3.
